God broke the barrier between Him and Us through Jesus, now we can talk to Him directly, approaching Him with confidence. Of great importance is praying for others, mentioning their needs to your Heavenly Father, and they need not know, just pray for them. Talk to your friends often and find out what they need help in, find out what you should pray for on their behalf…”And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” (Ephesians 6:18).
“Take the helmet of salvation……” (Ephesians 6:17).
“He is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved”.” (Acts 4:11-12).
“………and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:8-9).
This calls us to lay complete trust in Jesus, knowing that He holds our lives in His hands. This is what it means to believe Him. Its not that our salvation is fulfilled, but its assured in Christ Jesus, and it is in Him that we should place our hope-continually.
“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6:16).
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6). “….and everything that does not come from faith is sin.” (Romans 14:23).
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1).
“For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith”.” (Romans 1:17). I rest my case.
“and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” (Ephesians 6:15).
“And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”” (Romans 10:15).
The peace that you have in your heart should be known to all, spread the word, always be ready to pass the message to others.
In regard to feet, you should follow Christ, every step of the way-“Then he said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23). Always remember-keep walking….
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist….” (Ephesians 6:13-14).
While this Blog has emphasized a lot on service and love to others, it should not be in such a way that we miss the mark at the culmination of all things. We should be, at the end of all things, be found standing.
The first tool that we need is truth. Its basically honesty and sincerity. This lies mostly in what we say, speaking sincerely with all-“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” (Ephesians 4:25).
It also implies responding to truths as taught in the Bible, through the Holy Spirit-“I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.” (1 John 2:26).
“As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit- just as it has taught you, remain in him.” (1 John 2:27). Let’s keep waking….
