Its a path riddled with epic obstacles and dangers that are beyond description.

Ancient enemies troll these paths, seeking someone they might devour. A quick projection would tell you that there is little possibility of success.

Few people choose that path, and more fall off the path each day. It is a lonely, mountainous, narrow, slippery path which requires concentration and commitment.

Regardless of all you hear about this path, someone made it, and came back to tell us about it:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:31 NIV

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 NIV

And He offers to keep us company while we take this journey, He offers to ensure that we do not fail:

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel. Psalms 32:8 HCSB

Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff–they comfort me. Psalms 23:4 HCSB

Jesus charted the path when He faced death – and overcame.

The path I’m speaking about is spiritual, and it is quite treacherous – but if we keep our eyes fixed on the one who overcame it all – we are guaranteed to overcome it as well.

..fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:2-3 NIV

Take heart. Keep Walking.
